The Collection [HD]

Jigsaw has met his match
This is a horror sequel where you don't have to see the first to follow along, but it does bring back the main hero and villain from the previous movie. The cult following of the original made this film possible, so give it a look. A thief breaks in a house and ends up trying to save the family being tortured by another unwanted vistor that beat him to scene. But wait, this killer has set up believable traps all over the house. The sequel expands the scope to an old hotel and has 10 times the body count. The first is dark and isolated, much like Alien. And like Aliens, the sequel is more in your face and action oriented. There are still a few really good scares and plenty of gore, with a villain that is truly chilling in appearance and the way he kills. Think Jigsaw and his traps, but he also does some of his killings himself with his arsenal of knives. My theater was actually half full (I thought I'd be alone) and people clapped when it was over.

"Saw" meets "Home Alone" is an intense thriller of torture porn
"The Collector" was written and directed by Marcus Dunstan with the writing help of Patrick Melton. The two have worked together on the Saw movies installments 4, 5, 6, and the upcoming 7 so that fact that this movie is "Saw" meets "Home Alone" is a very accurate statement. The premise is that a down-on-his-luck father needs some money by midnight and decides to rob an employer while the family is on vacation. Unfortunately, someone else got there first and has set up a series of intricate, deadly booby traps top to bottom in this mansion.

Josh Stewart stars as Arkin, a guy trying to get by on a honest day's pay for an honest day's work yadda yadda yadda, but when put in a crunch proves skilled at robberies in order to save his family from loan sharks. Little does he know that the second he enters this house, the probability of his ever seeing them again plummets dramatically. There is a dagger chandelier, an acid floor, fish hook curtains, boarded up windows rigged with...

Better then the SAW movies
I liked the first movie but this gave me more bang for my buck...With poor box office sales I guess there will be no Collection/or 3. I really wish horror fans would have supported this film. Its a lot better the a lot on the market. Paranormal Activity makes money and this one doesn't - makes no sense to me.
