Wussy describes the plot
A ridiculously and unbelievably plotted movie. So many times, you will scream at the tv--"Go to the police, you idiot."
Also reinforces African American Stereotypes--racist tinge.
Why we should all be grateful for the digital revolution
Wuss is an excellent independent feature. It sounded interesting to me, but I was completely surprised by how well written and well crafted it is, and the caliber of the performances. Nate Rubin gives a remarkable performance in the lead role of Mitch, and the supporting cast is excellent all around, particularly Chris Gardner in the role of Louis, as well as Tony Hale (from Veep and Buster on Arrested Development) in what's essentially a meaty extended cameo. The film is quite dark, but equally funny and dramatic. This is exactly the type of thoughtful, well-made movie that should make people thankful for the DIY digital revolution that's allowing true filmmakers to tell genuine, human stories without all the bluster and bullsh*t that goes into the mega-budget Hollywood productions that are dumbing down America's output of film. DRAWS YOU RIGHT IN!
This film really drew me in. As a recent high school grad, I totally identified with the story. It was also super fun to see Ray from Girls be a principal. and LOVED THE ENDING. too good.
